Cloud Post

This is my jpeg. The jpeg is limited to a flat, single layer. It is ideal if you want to send a smaller product to someone. The downside of a jpeg is that it can throw away some data based on your program's quality settings. Also, the photo compresses everytime that you save (unlike png's and gif's).
This is my png. Like a jpeg, the png is limited to a single layer. There are 256 colors/transparency in png's, so a png is ideal for web graphics. They are also used a fast, low resolution photos. A png is typically a larger file than a jpeg and it does not show any motion like a gif.
This is my screenshot of my psd that I turned into a gif. I could not get blogger to read it correctly, so I decided to post a screenshot of what it would look like. A gif is limited to 256 colors. They are also used for low resolution and they can also compress. Compared to a png, a gif shows more crisp lines. They are different from jpeg's and png's because they can show animation.

Rule of Thirds

In this photo I wanted to show a desk covered in clatter. There are books, lip balm, and deodorant that I can focus on.
I narrowed my search down to the lip balm. I figured that the yellow color that it has could help make it to "pop" a little more against the counter.
I started to slowly zoom in some more. I didn't know what angle I should finish the photo at, but I realized that I at least needed to move the book.

In the photo below I liked the shadow that the lip balm gave off. I wanted to clear more stuff from the back and I noticed that there is a hole in the back of the desk.
I decided to flip the lip balm sideways and frankly I thought this made the picture cooler. I realized that there is a tiny piece of paper in the corner.
  • Here is my final photograph and I truly believe that this is the best photo out of the six that I posted! This photograph offers a neat and different point of view from what the original picture was.

A Little About Me

My name is Zachary Tucker, and I am from Salisbury, North Carolina. My birthday is July 26th, and although I now live in Salisbury, I was actually born in Lexington, South Carolina during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. When not at college I live with my parents, Jeanne and John. My sister, Kayla, is a junior at Catawba College, and she is studying Exercise Science. I have a five-year-old Goldendoodle named Jake.

I am a freshman at High Point University and I am majoring in Journalism and minoring in Sports Management. I participate in the Pep band and Sports-link at HPU. I would like to become a sportscaster when I graduate from HPU. I am a huge sports fan, as I follow pretty much every sport. I would say that my favorite team is the Carolina Panthers; however, I also pull for the UNC Tarheels, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Carolina Hurricanes.

I would consider myself to be outgoing and nice. I have been working as a cashier at one of the CVS Pharmacy stores in Salisbury for over two years, although I now work on weekends when at home and during my summer and winter breaks. My favorite color is a toss up between green and blue. During high school I participated in the National Honor Society and the SGA. I was also on the men's tennis team and played church league basketball. I was very involved in the band in high school and was Drum Major for two years. I won the Best Drum Major award in my county Christmas parade during my senior year, as well as the John Phillip Sousa award. I believe that my biggest accomplishment to date is that I am a Eagle Scout. I was the youngest person in my troop to receive the award.
